Funny how big celebrities think they can "buy" a kid as if they are pets!
Why not donate the money to the orphanage so they can help others also.
Its a pathetic way of trying to be compassionate.
Why must she single out one?
What about all the others?
Oh! probably they don't match her style so they'll just have to carry on suffering.

I thought she had an injunction that she could adopt the child. It seems to me that there are some people only out for what they can get. This boys family live in abject poverty and they put the child in an orphanage. He will surely have a better life with Madonna than stuck in an orphanage. I find it funny that people only objected after she made a huge donation to the village. Why didn't they object before she gave the money?

I feel the kid just might have a better life with Madonna than in Malawi. The relatives in Malawi are bitching but they are so caring why is the kid in an orphanage?

She's way more than above the law...she's Madonna. For heaven's sake, has the world gone mad to dwell on pathetic issues like that. Madonna sucks....period (poor baby from Malawi)

Madonna doesn't have to do anything anymore to be in the "SPOTLIGHT" . Anything she does will be in the news. I just hope the baby is well taken care of!!!!! And as far as above the law, let's be realistic, any celebrity is pretty much allowed to get away with a lot that most ordinary citizens would not

WOW so much interest I wonder if she is going to release some music........ durrrr. As for being above the law, money talks and iconic statures rarely walk the line.
She is more restricted to her publicist than we are by laws.
Shame on any one who gets the hopes up of innocent children with promises of a better life only to subject the child to months of conjecture of, can she, can't she.

I am so fed up with her. She is just trying to get more media attention again!!!

I do feel sorry for the child as even though he will get all he needs materially from her perhaps, he will not get the love of a good Mother with true loving intentions

I think it's about time Madonna stopped doing *good deeds* for Charity...if she gave the proceeds from her concert tour to Africa then I'd beleive she was genuine..anyway she's way past her sell by date and needed publicity

She wants the attention from the media and she also does think she is the law, she is so accustomed to having what ever she wants when she wants that the same rule applies to the poor kid as well, I seriously hope this is not a band aid baby for her and Guy.

It's all a publicity hype. Is she going to love that child as much as her natural children? I think it takes special people to do this. She is too interested in her career. "An interview? Oh yes, I'll give an interview for a million, OK magazine or Hello, ooo more publicity. I'll do both. Why not"?
