I think in healthy people the inner voice is their conscience. It's the one that makes you think of your choices and the pros and cons of any situation.

Certainly - there are generally two I think. One has wings and a halo, and the other has little horns. The one with the halo says things like " you walked right past that bottle of wine today and you didn't buy it. Gooooooooood". The one with the little horns says stuff like " ohmigod how boooooorrrring is that halo head. Come out with me and paaaaarrrrty so like now".
The one with the little horns tends to get more air-time.

She hears all sees all yet I can not obey even when she tells me I am about to do somthing foolish like answer this question.
