If a guy is in a relationship with a woman he can achieve emotional intimacy that is difficult to obtain from friends...relationships provide security, stability and comfort...friendships can be lucrative in terms of emotional supoort as well, but sometimes men feel they can be more vulnerable to their girlfriends and partners because they can shed a "macho" image

He gets to express his tender side and let down his guy-guard, if we're talking male friends. He gets to "practice" being a man in a relationship....kinda hard to do with friends.

Commitment, emotional support, a shoulder to cry on to name a few. Your girlfriend will give you the ability to do all this without bringing it up or cracking a joke.

they get nice company and the enjoyment of being with them, knowing that yall are together should be enough .... when your with friends you don't really get to do some of the stuff you could with ur b/g friend. they would think your dumb as in he or she would love you even more
