1. There is nothing illegal in stripping. People tend to mix up morality and legality. It's an equal exchange. The players wanted to pay money to see nudity, and the women don't mind being nude for money. Everyone’s happy.
2. As a stripper or in any profession, going to your job drunk is not professional or smart. You're a stripper working a private party with no bodyguard; it's probably not a good idea to add drunkenness to the equation. You should know that men who are sexually aroused and drunk are capable of doing things outside of character.
3. Filthy rich people (who happen to be white) are actually capable of committing crimes like rape against attractive young women (who happen to be black). It happens, lets not be naive. These guys are not the innocent sheep that some portray them to be. They used racial slurs against the strippers, which is unacceptable.
4. This could be a conspiracy against the Duke Players. I don’t know how the stripper benefits from making this up, but maybe she’s found a way. If this is all made up, which could be possible, her reason may be because of the racial slurs that were made.
5. I don't think anyone knows if they're guilty or innocent because if you weren't one of the people involved then you really don't know.

The Duke lacrosse players are not guilty as far as "raping" the stripper. The only thing they are guilty of as a team is underage drinking that night... though they are morally responsible for bringing a stripper there in the first place... not exactly a good "team activity."
As far as the case goes, the young lady in question submitted three different "scenarios." The first report said that five men raped her, the second that three men raped her, and the last saying she was not even sexually assaulted. Additionally, when the District Attorney Mike Nifong showed the young lady a police lineup using the players pictures from the athletics page, with no fillers (people that had nothing to do with the crime), which is illegal on local, state and federal grounds. She said she didn't recognize anyone, and it was reported on 60 Minutes that the one player she later accused, she said with full backing on the first lineup that he had nothing to do with the crime. Then the second lineup was a true picture lineup with photos taken at the station. Again, no fillers were used and she was told that all men pictured were at the party, so she had a 100% chance of choosing someone there... Russian Roulette for the players.
On a side note, District Attorney Mike Nifong should go to jail for his reprehensible behavior during this "investigation" which happened to coincide with his re-election campaign, where he was admittedly lacking the African American vote, which is considerable in Durham.
Of course, there is additional evidence to prove the men were not involved... no DNA evidence, ATM and phone records proving those accused weren't even there, not to mention the fact that the other stripper is saying that the young woman in question is lying.
The woman in question accused almost the exact same scenario a number of years ago, and that was dropped. Seems a bit strange that it is happening again to her.
Lastly, I just want to make the point that there are enough real rapes and sexual assaults out there already. False accusations only make it harder for those that this really happens to. If she is lying, she should go to jail... it's called perjury.

I am an African American Male, I believe I needs to make that clear. I watched 60 minutes last night. The guys was supposed to have raped her for 30 minutes. Where did the 30 minutes take place. The young lady that was with her said that there were two times that they were separated and it was only about 5 to 10 minutes. Lets remember she was drinking and taking meds which is a bad combination in it self. The young lady that was also there disagreed with some of the things that was said happen by the victim. No DNA evidence. DA said they probably used condoms. I believe rape is a crime of passion, but they said wait lets put on condoms? Also in an election situation, I believe the DA was trying to get the Black vote. If they are guilty they will be released because of misconduct by the DA. The DA said in the past they have got convictions without DNA. That's true but we also see that many of those cases has been overturned. The line of all the pictures what a crock.

He won't apologize because he is a media whore who continues to be the face of black people as long as the media wants it. If you ask the average black person what they think of the situation, they'll tell you that what Don Imus said was stupid and he should be fired because he was there in the past when civil rights were being debated. However, they would also really like people to stop calling Al Sharpton a black leader because he doesn't lead anyone but the weak-minded. They would also say that they could care less about the Duke Lacrosse team and their stripper fiasco because lots of black students with promising futures go to jail over the lies of some white chick and no one apologizes to them or cares about the fact that it never happened. That's the cold truth buddy. Deal with it.

Yes no woman deserves to be raped whether or not she's a stripper, but c'mon don't be so friggin' naive. You don't go to a frat party as a stripper, take all your clothes off, get drunk, and expect to be left alone by a a bunch of guys. If the guys did rape her, yes they should be convicted; however, every guy who had sex with a stripper is not a rapist. Don't treat this gal like Anita Hill unless the evidence says that she is telling the truth which it aint.

Yes...let's don't be naive, because some immature horny drunk jackas**s can't control themselves, so let's blame the girl, she was asking for it, after all she was stripper, right? oh give me a freakin break, i don't know if they're guilty or not, and to the guy who said why would they stop and put on a condom? well, let's see...they're at duke university...let's hope that part of the reason they got in there was for SOME intelligence and not just because of mommy and daddy's money.....so only an IDIOT wouldn't wear a condom, and to be honest, it would not suprise me, if there was evidence "hidden" under the table somewhere, these aren't some yahoos at ucla, ok, they got money, they got lawyers, they got all they need....but nothing has been proved yet....but then again we don't need to go to the O.J case now do we....

Absolutely not guilty.
The only testimony the authorities have that a crime was committed was from the victim herself - who has absolutely no credibility, especially since the dna found inside her body cavity was from her boyfriend and not from any of the Duke students.
No evidence - no guilty findings!
They will walk - and the District Attorney will lose that Political race he is in.

I don't know if they're guilty or not. And neither do any of the other people answering this question. But to say she was a stripper and should have known better then to go into a drunken frat house is ignorant.
No woman EVER deserves to be raped.

I don't care if they are innocent or guilty. Girl was a stripper, and she knew the risk of going into a drunken, hormonally charged college frat boy party. She should have stayed home.
