I have had lot of people from my address book complaining that they have recently been receiving spam mail from my account. The email contains attachments like
Attachments00.HQX ,Video_part.mim
I have run complete virus scans with up-to-date virus definitions many times. Even tried formatting my computer, but nothing worked. I dont believe the virus is residing in my computer. So where is it ?? and how do i remove it???
and i dont want to change to a new yahoo email id..

Edit :
I have tried changing my passwords also.

Edit :
Since i have formatted by hard disk, that removes the question of having a keylogger. I use McAfee Virus Scan enterprise, along with windows defender and Ad-Aware SE Personal edition. I have also ran the online virus check provided by Microsoft @ Windows Live OneCare.

there are some virus with your PC. perhaps you can get a internet security software to scan for virus, adware and spyware .

i recommand you to try CA Internet Security Suite. It provides comprehensive protection against viruses, hackers, identity thieves, spyware, spam and other online threats that can jeopardize your privacy, your data, and your PC's performance.

you can get a more detailed introduction about CA Internet Security software.

there is either something in your computer or your mail. if i had name and pass i could help you with it.

heres some suggestions for you to check also.....
find any antivirus software (nortan, panda, whatever)do a scan!
second: get a firewall, keep it on all the time.(zonealarm is a good one) get spysweeper too to get rid of other milicious files (trojans and other files)
if this doesnt work contact a computer pro at $40/ hour or contact me... i can atleast look at your mail for you if you want me to.
hope you get this taken care of soon or youll have some very friends. :((
