no i don't think so, however you maybe entitled to a reduction on your council tax.

normally you have to be working under 16 hours a week to claim job seekers, however if you are a student this doesn't count.

Try your local job centre, you can get there number off the website www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk.

It depends on what the overall household income is. Speak to someone at your local council, they will be able to advise you. If they think you are entitled to receive benefits you will have to provide proof of income and provide bank statements.
