Do you mean 24 / 7 ?

Well, there are 24 hours in a day and 7 days a week. So if something is occuring 24 / 7 it means that it is occuring all 24 hours of the day and all 7 days of the week. Non-stop.

24/7. There are 24 hours in a day, and 7 days in a week. If you hear someone say this, it means that something is going on all the time.

24/7 means "never ceasing". 27/7 doesn't quite work as there aren't 27 hours in a day... however, I could imagine it to mean "overtime on a serious level".

It means you wrote your homework question down wrong

It should read 24*7, something that is done all day long.

I work in a 24*7 job, either 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am depending on shifts.

Taking it further you have 24*7*365, when whatever it is that is being spoken about is done every day of the year.

Again something I do in my job - one Xmas day off in last 15 years

It's actually 24/7.

It means that the store is never closed, or that the service is available at anytime of day or night. There will always be someone there.
