I think there is far too much celeb junk on TV. It is comparatively easy to become famous and then become a celebrity just on the back of "being famous". I think celebs should at least have some talent that is orientated towards entertainment or sports achievements. The high amount of junk TV reduces the chances of talented script writers to get on the box.

the answer must be no otherwise the TV companies would stop making the programmes.I'm personally not into the whole celeb 'thing' anyway but I can't see why people get so annoyed with them- the solution - turn over or switch off the T.V.- simple!everyone has different entertainment tastes and there are enough channels to accommodate most preferences. It's maybe a form of escapism.I think you would end up in an asylum or topping yourself if you had to watch too many current affair programmes- global warming, murder, poverty, explotation etc

Yes, I do think there is too much Celebrity junk on TV. It is pitiful really. I like the more innovative ones like 'Strictly Come Dancing', which has some fun and glamour, but even that is being copied (Dancing on Ice, some Circus thing on Sky) and then we have too many. Some are just puerile from the start like 'The Farm' and 'Love Island' - bleeeaaak!!

Think of this: over the last five years, how many of the people you watch religiously remain in your conscience? How many of their names do you remember? These people are NOT celebrities - they're just people with no talent who are thrown into our living rooms on a night by night basis because we, the viewing public, are addicted to watching meaningless people do meaningless things? What in God's name is next? Celebrity Amateur Porn? Celebrity Fat Olympics Trials? Maybe we have to go as far as Celebrity Suicides before people wake up and realise they're being conned...!!!

yes there is too much, but I watch alot of it too. With celebrity fit club, house of carter, and the simmons family jewels... it's hard not to watch to see what they are going to do next.
