It's not just a mild case of flattened head.
She has torticollis and a severe flattening on her right side causing her ears to be misaligned.
I have been advised my her paediatrician that the helmet will be very effective in correcting this.

I'm in the US and I just read an article about this in our newspaper, and it said it works quite well in most cases. Its good that you are getting it done early as there is more success with it then. Most of the kids seem to wear it till the bones knit firmly at about 3, but I would imagine each case is different. Ask your Dr. about your specific case as he has all the info there. It will not cure itself at this point and you are right to be proactive
