My 12 year old son is a prankster, so he routinely sneaks out of dark corners at me to make me scream. I'm naturally a paranoid person anyway, so it's not that hard to scare me! He recently fooled me by putting pillows under the blankets in his bed to resemble his body. He did an excellent job - I really thought it was him under there! Just as I leaned in to say goodnight he popped out behind me! WHAaaaaaaaa! I'll get him back though... =)

Lay off the scary movies, Obviously if you feel threatened in your own home there's to many things going threw your head that you are thinking might happen to you while heading to or from the restroom. If you live alone, I can see having the feelings occur more ofter but if not then no need to worry. I was nerves when I bought a new home with a skylight in the master bathroom. I have seen many movies where people or other foreign objects have come crashing down threw things like those. Convince yourself to try to go before bed every night so you can make it until morning.

This Saturday just gone I went on a High Rope Course with some friends from school. I have a fear of falling from heights (not of the heights themselves) so I was terrified when we did a task that involved 4 of us climbing up a vertical wooden pole (with foot holds) about 10 metres high one by one and trying to stand on a platform about the size of a medium pizza box. The worst part was when I fell off, and as you can imagine I screamed like a little girl. We had safety ropes obviously but unfortunately this knowledge has no effect on my fear.

Do something about it now! Some kind of therapy or your family and and friends advice. Don't get to the point of jumping at every little thing, especially when you see it coming. My job is intense, when I am working, and someone comes to my desk and speaks I am very startled that I was concentrating so much on my job and did not see them advance. Management realizes that I am in the wrong environment for what I do, and are "working on it". Good luck.

Was creeped out at a convenience store late at night, only girl in store and about 8 men came in drunk(hairy, tattooed dudes) i stood in line for a few seconds and got such a bad feeling that i just left asap, found out next day i was pregnant, still think it was a protective maternal intuition i had.

Maybe if your situation happens alot it is anxiety or panic attacks.

Yesterday afternoon, my young nephew has just got himself a Gerbil and he put it on my lap, I nearly screamed the house down as I am terrified of stuff like that, little furry fast things really give me the screams and make me scared.

When I had a terrible dream a few nights ago I was very upset. But I do not scream. I never have.

Try putting track lights in the halls. Get a flashlight and walk to the bathroom. Play music or sing. Do something to distract yourself from it.
