What did you think of his documentary last night? I thought it was quite sad how people have to live like that!

I think hes brave to go into situations like that, especially when the opposition gang could have attacked anytime. Its sad but unfortunately a sign of our times.

really shocking. It's like another world.
I did start to feel sorry for them at one point as they just can;t get out of the never ending ring of violence.
Young men that live there don't really have a choice of whether they want to be in a gang or not just which gang. The men that were trying to earn a decent living on their bus routes were getting killed for not paying protection money so what's the point.
The govenernment couldn't rehabilitate becuase the only reason they were shooting each other was because they were from a different area of town. It wasn't anything personal it was the postcode. Then when one persons family member got shot they took revenge so the never ending cycle started.
What else can the government do except put them in jail, although the conditions were terrible.
These scruffy men that lived is squalor definately weren't cocaine dealers shifting millions of pounds of drugs as they didn't have a penny to rub together nevermind millions.
They have a very sad life.

I thought it was very well done and frightening. Really really sad how the innocents live in those conditions and even the kids who wish they weren't in the gang didn't feel they had a choice. But the most chilling part for me was seeing the girls at that turnaround camp. They were there to change their lives but none of them seemed to show any regret or remorse for the murders. They didn't try to blame society or the men in their lives or poverty. They took full responsibility and laughed through the interview. Scary.

No but have it recorded on Sky plus. I saw bits of the first series, the one about the skinhead racist gangs in the US was jaw dropping.

They showed a band which sang about throwing jews into a pit and burning them. They were absoluteley mental.

There were some in prison who will never get out and the ones on the outside just sold drugs and tried to kill each other. Scary.
