We have 4 kids so I would want 4 bedrooms, 2 living rooms and 3 bathrooms. Right now we are in a dumpy rent house with only 1 bathroom. 6 people and 1 bathroom!!!

the one I have,

10 years ago my husband began building a 2 story house for us in the country. He built it in his spare time and we completely paid for this house as we built it.
Twice we had to stop work on it, once when he tore the cartilage in his knee at work, it took a while to recuperate from surgery and heal,
and when we had to put money into a custody suit to save my grandson from his abusive, drug addicted mother. He was only five years old.
It took two years to build despite the set backs, but this house was a labor of love and I wouldn't trade it for a mansion.

If I was you, I would buy a home cash and have enough at the end of each year to pay my taxes.Sometime we forget about uncle Sam.Also buying the house cash (if you have the money)
you avoid percentage on the loan amount, mortgages etc..
enjoy....

Big one, lots of rooms, with big garden, swimming pool and near to the water (sea, river), out of city, with good view. Somewhere where is warm. But not to warm. Something like eternal spring.

i'b buy my parents one first but I'd love an old house along the northeast coast...something old with a lot of history, a little more updated inside, but still keeping all the charm!
