Can anyone beat this, i got up late for work today, rushed to get ready, skipped breakfast and spent £10 on a taxi just to make sure i arrived on time. It was only after being at work for 2 hours that i remebered that i booked today off as holiday 2 months earlier, luckily they gave me tomorrow off instead. anyone else done anything as stupid?

Yeah I have. I was really exited about going to corfu a few years ago, I hadn't been on a plane before and was going on my own, dreading the airport and check-in because it looked so daunting, I decided to get there really early. My flight was booked for midnight and I got there about 8.30 only to find there was no desk for flights to corfu. When I found someone to ask, she looked at my ticket and said 'it's Tuesday today, your flight was booked for midnight Monday.' A whole 24 hours I missed my plane by!!!!!!!!!!!

I do shift work and sometimes on nights i sleep a bit too long and then have to rush to make the hour drive, not long after i started i woke up at 9pm and had to be there for 10pm so i panicked, did a sink wash so i didn't smell, dragged my hair back, put on some concealer and the first items of clothes i found and jumped in the car. managed to get in just 5mins late which they are ok about and settled myself in for the night. it was only about an hour into it a pair of knickers fell from the leg of my trousers...I'm just thankful they were clean ones that must have been caught there whilst in the wash, however most people had seen it and those who didn't see it heard about it quickly and i got a lot of knickers for my birthday. 2yrs on and they are still talking...loved your one though, how funny!!

Ha ha, sorry but that is really funny, yes I have done some stupid stuff in my time but that takes the biscuit, hope you don't have to work overtime now to make up for the £10 you spent on a taxi.

After a week on holiday I rushed in to work, clocked in as the clock ticked over and rushed on to the shop floor and had been there ten minutes when I realised they had started the staggered shifts pattern and I was an hour early.

yeh when i was about 13 i stayed at my sisters and she only had 1 clock and that was on the video on her living room anyway i woke up the next morning and the clock said 8.50 and i had to be in school for 9 so i rushed about getting dressed and ran to school which was a 20 minute walk. anyway i got to school and there was no1 there. i then asked the caretaker where everybody was and he said it was only ten past 8 i was really early . i felt so silly. i still laugh about it now and that was 7 years ago

Yes,'fraid so. I have woken up late, rushed the kids to get dressed, made their packed lunch and driven 15 miles to their school only to realise that it was teacher training day. I then had to drive them all the way home again try and find somebody to look after them and go to work.

Not quite that silly, but I am still late for work sometimes because I get the AM/PM dot muddled up and my alarm then goes off 12 hours late.
I have been setting alarms for 20 years and still haven't learnt!

Two weeks ago I had to be up for work at 04.00. Went to bed at 21.00 set alarm for 03.30. Woke up at 11.45. Panicked, jumped out of bed, phoned the depot to explain. Much laughter from manager. It was 11.45PM, I'd only been asleep for about 2 hours! Didn't think that it was still dark outside.

i've gone to bed early and woke up at 11 and thought it was 11 a.m. and I was late but it only took a few minutes for my head to clear. But I've done lotza stupid stuff! Have a great day tomorrow!

Woke up at nine, flew out of bed, no time to shower, put on some clothes, was already in the kitchen when my mum mentioned to me that is was saturday..
Or, another higschool one: got out of bed, it was really cold so I put on a sweater just for warmth, got to school and realised I forgot to put on a bra....
