When we went to Disney World, I bought discount tickets at AAA, and booked our hotel at the Disney World web site. We only stayed 2 in one of their resorts, it was over priced for what you get. I would stay in Kissimmee, FL in a hotel that provides free shuttle to the park. A couple years later we went to Universal Studios. The kids, and I liked it so much better than Disney. Universal, is cool, and not geared for small children, like Disney. Universal does have rides for small children, but most of the rides and the park are for older kids, like 8 & up. We spent five days at Universal and had a blast. Sometimes, Universal runs a sale on tickets, like buy a 3 day pass, get 2 days free, but they only give that deal online.

I use Mousesavers.com to see if there are any discount codes before making my WDW reservations. If not, I check back often, because one will always come up. Whether you travel in early fall and receive free dining plan, or winter and get the discount. There almost always is a discount available except during the very busy season.
