Yes i have heard a rap artist glorify rape. i believe the name of the artist is "2 live crew", I know that is a extreme example but you asked. I don't care for rap because I like songs I can relate to. I can't relate to the projects or songs about my mama in jail or a drug addict. Being a dumb*** white people from the burbs I relate more to songs about family, friends and "church on Sunday morning."

Hate is such a strong word. Let's just say don't like. The reason I don't like rap music is 1 No one really sings, they just talk to a beat 2 Lyrics? Way to much objectionable language for a song and as far as I can see, no real purpose for it. 3 I love Classic rock/Doo Wop (It's my era). Much of today's music just doesn't do it for me. By the Way, I am White and I wouldn't like rap no matter who recorded it.

I do not hate rap music. The lyrics are bad sometimes. Specially if you compare MC Hammer music to Eminem´s. The music can have bad influence on teeagers. Boys aged 11 listen to Eminem.

To those who lack the ability to balance things out and stick up to their ego centric ways.. rap isn't music? geez, how pathetic.. your head might need a lil shakin'..

MUSIC
-It is a direct expression of human emotions designed to
manipulate and transform the emotion of the
listener/listeners. Music is designed to be felt unlike sound
which is heard.
-The existence of some modern-day genres such as rap/hip-
hop, indicate that even the harshest sounds can be
considered music if the listener is so inclined.

RAP
- is a style of POPULAR MUSIC which consists of intensely
rhythmic lyrical form making abundant use of techniques like
assonance, alliteration, and rhyme.

now, for those who still don't get it, geez... you're pathetic..

i love hip-hop music, but a lot of the crap that's on the radio right now is just a hip-hop, r&b blend that's just garbage. people need to get back to making some good, real music. listen to artists such as mos def, talib kweli, jurassic 5, and chrome children if you wanna hear some real hip-hop.

Just like everything else in life, there are some I like and some I don't. I don't like ALL rock, just the good stuff. I don't like ALL rap, just the good stuff. Why can't we just like what we like without someone else saying it is wrong to like it.

I love chocolate cake. My wife likes it white. Neither of us are 'wrong'. Just different tastes.

People now in this world are so racist, you have to understand. I, personally hate rap not because it's sung by people whom I'm racist to, but because my whole family grew up with metal music. I Don't mind it thought, it has meaning, you know, it comes from heart as i can feel it always. I hear ya, I know how it feels when people hate music you were born with!
