Mosquitoes discover areas where people/animals are located based on the carbon-dioxide concentration in the area.. if the concentration is high, then there must be humans in the area...
Once they widely detect the presence of humans, they are guided more specifically to them throught the smell of lactic acid and some phoromones that we emit along with our sweat..
So if two people are nearby, the mosquitoes are more likely to bite a person who sweats more, whose sweat is more pungent..
Even if the person is unhygenic and doesn't bathe regularly, all the sweat and phoromones keep accumulating and thus he will attract more mosquitoes..
If both you and your husband have the same bathing and cleaning habbits, then it just means that you sweat more... or that your sweat has more lactic acid...

I don't think it has anything to do with sweat...I hardly sweat and I'm very hygienic but mosquitos just love me......besides mosquitoes and other nasty little insects always seem to attack my ankles - and I certainly don't have sweaty ankles. I've also noticed that my brother and dad don't complain half as much as my mum and I do about mosquito bites. I think that mosies prefer us females because our skin is softer and therefore easier to pierce. We also smell sweeter :) we have those pheromones that attract both men and mosquitos!..Or maybe the mosquitos are just lesbians - its female mosquitos that bite because they need blood to help their eggs develop(males prefer plant nectar/ fruit ).

mosquitoes like people with lower skin temperatures. So if your skin is cooler than your husband's then you are the one they are going to bite, since they have a choice.
there are also some medications that mosquitoes don't like.

Once the mosquito has fed, it does not need any more blood and so would bite one of you first, then leave the other alone.

It's just a simple statement: It is because mosquitoes are 'attracted' to estrogen, a hormone present in women.

Maybe he's just not that kind of guy...
Maybe he didn't fancy it after the mosquito had already been there...
Maybe he was full from his dinner...
Maybe he'd rather you did the biting...
Maybe he prefers to lick...
Maybe he had a headache...
Maybe you should have thought about the wording of this question...
Maybe I'm just being sarcastic...

Marmite!!!
Mosquito hate yeast extract.
eat marmite for a week before you go near the Moses.
It can't hurt unless you hate marmite/vegimite! lol

That happens to me also. I think its because of all the sugar in my blood. I eat a lot of crap and my husband eats pretty well. Also it depends on what colors you wear.
