More Scooby-Doo!!!!!

It's not like it was 20 years ago when we had a selction of 4-5 channels, unless you were 1 of the lucky ones that had a giant old dish sattelite in your backyard...

If the President came on during "Dukes of Hazard" you were screwed for the night - now you just change the channel...

Can we get rid of the religious programming??

I would get read of BBC1 for a start. I think that the main problem with TV is that there is too mush reality TV and news. More comedies and crime drama would be nice. Also less repeats. I have found that most programs are repeated at least one in the week and have seen films on TV being aired again within a few months on the same channel.

Also if they start broadcasting in HD-TV or PAL-60 with pro-logic II would be nice.

I would like to see more family shows. I think there is also enough swearing and violence in the movies that we don't need it on tv. More comedies would be good. We all need a good laugh and most are geared to all age groups. I also liked the after school movies that taught the kids something afterward. I think they are very important. I am soooo over reality tv, although I do admit having a weak spot for Big Brother. I love the medical shows on tv, such as ER, House and Grey's Anatomy.

IMPROVE!!! I think it's at it's BEST. I can't even sit through most of the shows i loved in the 80's, of coarse I was 10 in 1984.. But the shows were so cheesy, with some exceptions. And for cable, like HBO and Showtime, there original programming is above and beyond any shows in the past. For comedies the turning point to greatness and not so corny was Rosanne, that show took it to a new level, then came Seinfeld, which to this day is still TOPS in my book. And of coarse reality tv, some bad ones have come out, but also some gr8 ones (survivor,BB, Amazing Race) just to name a few. Well let me stop babbling.

Less reality TV or give it its own channel so the rest of us can ignore it.
Fewer, and shorter, commercial breaks!
A return to cartoons that are actually well drawn, attractive images.
Comedy that isn't based around sex only.
Get rid of ugly, poorly drawn cartoons and Japanese animation in general. Manga and anime can have their own, pay-to-view channels with a viewing card.
Not allow commercials to be broadcast at triple the volume of the regular programming.
Create some family comedies which *don't* have the subliminal message that parents in general, and fathers in particular, are idiots and kids are in charge.

Get rid of reality tv, and create more programmes like the blue planet. That was an amazing programme. It allows people to see the whole world, things that you can only imagine.

Get rid of a lot the reality shows as they are crap. Replace with good dramas and plays.

The only way to improve whats on tv is to have even more channels catering for everybody's needs, so there is at least one thing at any one time that anyone can watch.

But then we would be a nation of couch potatoes stuck in front of the tv forever.
