Well I wouldn't. I'd wear the black boots with the black shirt and the brown boots with the brown shirt. But I'm kind of simple minded on fashion (I'm a guy, kind of fashion imparred ... or is that fashion challenged - hehe). I guess black boots with brown might look ok but not the other way. Me (if I were wearing all this), I'd wear the black boots with the black shirt and a black skirt. Shirt could also be white or red, maybe brown but only if the skirt is brown too. That's what I think I'd wear (it's what I like to see anyways :-) ).

it really does all depend on the styles etc, normally it's a serious fashion faux pas but as a rule of thumb the only shade of brown i would wear with black is a tan color. Try the boots with either a matching color belt or large handbag, if the boots are leather, then have a leather bag etc good luck, hope this helps :)

A red t-shirt looks better with brown boots than a black one..Black and brown together suck in my opinion

It doesn't matter what color the top is, as long as one of the following 3 matches
-Belt
-Jacket
-Handbag.
To much of the same color doesn't look good anyways, so do mix and match.

Although the common legend says, "black goes with everything."
it can be quite false.
I.e. you wouldnt wear black pants with navy blue anything.
the black makes the navy blue look like its old, faded, discolored black and you would never want to look old, faded, or discolored.
Don't believe the madness.
black + brown = trouble.

I typically mix these colors and just match my bag/purse in the same range. Then my outfit seems much more pulled together.
