Hey seducta_s...,

Do you help more than hurt other people? Good people treat other people they way they want to be treated themselfs.

Examine your relationships with other people. Are you short, mean, rude, insulting, etc. Or are you understanding, a good listener, polite, flexible, tolerant? You can answer this question by examining these things. What do people say about you?

If you wrote your own Obituary - what would it say, and would it be true?

Is good an idea or has it reality?

If its only an idea then its a matter of opinion surely.

If goodness is a reality independent of your thinking, then it must be discovered surely?

Is good the opposite of bad? Therefore both are mutually inclusive. So have no value apart from intellectual dissection.

How can you be good in a real sense, not according to something, not because you have been told or read it. How will you find out?

This question you can ask yourself . " Am I ?" . This same question you can ask others .

If the answer to the first is "yes" you will know that by the peace of mind you get. you will get to sllep well, each and everyday.

If , in the eyes of the others, you are a good person you will feel reinforced in your own judgement of yourself. You will be able to walk among others with a lot of peace.

If you treat other people the way you would want to be treated, then you are probably a good person. That is, unless you like it when people gossip about you, judge you, steal from you, over-charge you, run red lights in front of you, shoot you, etc., etc.

There's good and bad in everyone. You can't put people into categories of neat little absolutes like that. The key is to act on the good that's inside all of us, not the bad.

Write down all the good deeds you did last week on one side of a piece of
paper. Write down all the bad things you did on the other side. Which side
is longer?

i think everyone is a potentially good person. i guess you can tell by how many bad things you do, if you hurt people alot, if you have a lot of enemies... but i may very well be a bad person giving bad advice. ;)
