Go to Publix and buy the original flavor of PAM. Apply a light coat to the front of your car and then very gently dap away any excess. This keeps lovebugs from sticking. Another great idea is to put RAIN-X on your windshield and it makes clean up from the love bugs much easier. You still need to wash your car every two weeks because lovebugs have internal acid that eats into your cars paint.

Lovebugs are a species of small flies that are related to mosquitoes and gnats. They are small, mostly black with reddish orange thoraxes. They do not bite, sting, or cause disease. However; they mate in huge numbers twice a year, April/May and August/September. Since they typically live in large fields, there can be huge numbers of mating lovebugs along highways; and so our cars get splattered with lovebugs. Windshields need to be cleaned more often when the lovebugs are mating; and car finishes can be damaged if the bug goo isn't washed off.

Bug & Tar remover made by Turtle Wax and a little elbow grease...thats what I used on my camaro when I lived in Mobile. Then make sure to get a coat of wax onto the front of the car to help in them wiping off easier next time.

Shake a small can or bottle of Coke and spray it on, just leave it on a minute or so and hose it off. They will slide right off. It will not hurt the paint for that short time, I know the problem with love bugs, I am in Daytona!!

Cover your hole car with slow drying varnish and see if you can get ladybugs to stick all over it. Video tape it and send it into "stupid videos" and if you win the grand prize , buy a new car with a cover for it.
