I assume these are wireless. So you can connect the ADSL router wirelessly to all your computers. You can get a dongle to go in the uSB2 port or a wireless card. If the router is close to a desktop PC though and it has a lan card then just connect it by wire. You will then have one router spare. That can be used as a repeater. Position it somewhere else in your home and it should receive and re-transmit your signals. You will have to make sure all the computers are set up right - but the XP wizard should do that. The encyption key should be transfered to all of them obviously if the one network is different. I think the linksys will probably be the best one to use - if that has a built in modem to connect to your phone line. It also depends on the length of your RJ11 cable - some people have a modem/router in their hallway - if that is the case use the second router upstairs somewhere as a repeater to get a good range.

If you have to have the 2nd laptop on the linksys router (why?), then the linksys router needs to be plugged in to one of the 3com router's available ports, *and* you need to turn off DHCP on it, so that only the 3com is handing out addresses. This will cause the 3com router to give an address to the linksys, and it will just pass it on to the laptop.

question, why does the 2nd laptop have to be on the linksys router? because if the answer is because the linksys & 3com each have their own incoming dsl line, then the only way to get them on the same lan is to set up a virtual private network - vpn. if this is what you need, please edit your question and we'll give you the steps to set up.

Unplug the other laptop from the Linksys router and plug it into the 3Com router. Or, you could run a crossover cable from the Linksys to the 3Com and connect them that way.
