If i wanted to put a message out on a tannoy in TESCO can i do it using any phone hanging on the wall?

lol....I've done that before in the toy section at Wal-Mart (ASDA's) But all I did was pick up the phone and saw a button that said PAGE(tannoy),and so I pushed it, then I heard an echo on the line so I said: " Good afternoon Wal-Mart Shopper's... Can I get a Wal-Mart Associate to the TOY Department!" A Wal-Mart Associate to the Paint I mean TOY Department!!" Thank-You.... then I hung up the phone.. my daughter said MOM! why did you do that? Are you going to be in trouble? I said " I searched and saw no one so I had to do that". She said" wow your cool" It was something I had always wanted to do, and so It was fun. The help did show up right after and said nothing, but I suspect she knew it was me.

Yep - any phone does it - you have to key a number in though. B & Q often leave they're mobile phone/tannoys on the counter. I tried so hard to do an announcement but couldnt get it to work. The staff dont care - I got caught in B & Q and they just laughed. Let us know what you plan to announce :-)

I got a Tesco employee to page "me" over the tannoy, then walked away.

I went in changing room in tesco once and shouted over top of door "hey can someone get me some toilet roll theres none in this cubicle" got escorted out of building and not allowed back in store even though my girlfriend works there

Yep, almost certainly the staff wouldn't care as well. I've done it in Walmart a few times.

You may or may not need to know the extension # depending on their system.

there would be a set of butons you have to press ie **24 or whatever.

yes you can, but you have to dial a number....best thing to do is hang around it and wait til a member of staff does, or better still, go up to a member of staff, tell them, whilst you are next to a phone, that you have lost your child.....the automatic thing for them to do would be to pick the nearest available handset, which they would do, and it would be in front of you....watch the access code, or whatever they do, then do you can do it in the future.....simple
