Yes he did definately change his name to John Ono Lennon, but trying to find a date - can anyone help??

If you check wikipedia he did indeed change his name to John Ono Lennon.
He actually changed his middle name (which was "Winston") to Ono.
On March 20, 1969, Lennon and Ono were married in Gibraltar, and spent their honeymoon in Amsterdam in a "Bed-In" for peace.
They followed up their honeymoon with another "Bed-In" for peace, this time held in Montreal at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel. During the second "Bed-In" the couple recorded "Give Peace a Chance".
Shortly after, Lennon changed his middle name from Winston to Ono to show his "oneness" with his new wife. Lennon wrote "The Ballad of John and Yoko" about his marriage and the subsequent press it generated.
So therefore it was sometime after March 1969.

hell no he never would do it and never did it you lost or your the cell mate of the fella who killed him,you sound as crazy as him.

ono is no good she got the lot do you know lennon has a lad he's got nothing compared to ono.so stop opening the scar's put on all of us for no fault of our's.

It was around about the time that he went all weird because he fell under Yoko's not altogether healthy spell. She made him think he was some sort of god and unfortunately he thought he could change the world from his bed after that. She had a very strange influence on a pop star from Liverpool.
