Give me some feedback on what you think....I am considering writing a book about the following....my husband has 2 kids that he has been fighting with the mother's to get standard father's rights to for over a year. The Florida court system is definitely not geared towards fathers, especially if they are trying to do the right thing. I would like to write a book about his battle with this....does it sound interesting, do you think people would read? I am aware this will take time but I need to see if it has merit. Thanks.

I think since you are indirectly involved you must be careful to have an open viewpoint - - write it in whatever style you feel most comfortable... take lots of notes - strive for accuracy and not too much opinion would be my best recommendation..

Why do they deny him rights - I think in a work like this, the other side of the coin will be not only needed but equally interesting..

and only write it if you enjoy doing the writing - It is quite time consuming work and it is also difficult to publish - - make sure you have done an excellent job in every way [ grammer, spelling, and story telling ] - do not assume if you present something unprofessional that they will provide an editor to correct everything - So, have fun and do your best - The big question is -
Is this something that you want to spend most of your time doing? When you write it can be a very intense place to spend alot of hours/days/months - good luck

Yes, it would make an interesting reading. But I would also want to have some insights about how fathers relate to their sons, compared to women. It is not merely the faulty legal system that is the problem, but also certain biases built into the community's values.

If it is done as a diary style book or as you say based on your own experiences it will be good - there is a group called fathers for justice here in the uk who are trying to change the laws so check and see that there are not any other books too similar to your idea. good luck
