I have done what all citizens should do when they disagree with congressional decisions...I wrote all of them and expressed my disagreement.
With 74% of the people wanting internet gambling to stay, it is important the "representatives of the people" remember who they serve. This is STILL a government of the people, by the people and for the people and they need to be reminded of that.
This is an election period. I urge everyone to write their congressmen, senators and the White House with their concerns and remind all of them that they serve US, not vice versa.

I believe there is no law against it yet. However, if there is remember that both GOP and DEM had to vote for it. If all DEM had voted against it, there would not have been enough members of congress to have it put into law even if all GOP had voted for it. There are some concerns about on line gambling that need to be worked out. How do you know that the game is not rigged? How do you get any monies you won? Is there a chance that your checking account or credit card # could be stolen. Could the site overbill you on purpose? How would you get your checking acct money back if they did? there are, also, concerns for the gambling sites. Is the gambler playing with a stolen checking acct or credit card (ID theft). Does the gambler have enough money to pay for his losses. I believe we should work out the problems and then if you still want to gamble for money on the internet then go ahead.

Reading things here, there are self-proclaimed Dem's saying they should be able to do whatever they want.
Should you be able to kill? Rape? Drink and drive?
After all, not letting you do that is a violation of your freedoms right?
As for gambling, no, it is not a violation of your rights. It is illegal to establish an online gambling site inside of the United States. You can easily participate in gambling sites established outside the US...at your own risk.
Do some homework. You would have found that out...you would also have found out that there is a good majority of Democrats that also support this because the American Indians push for it to keep their Casino's in buisness.
Knowlege is power hero.

300%? WOW, thats a huge number, do you have any links to back that up? Of course not. Defending this country is the government's first priority, as set forth in the Constitution. What freedoms did you as a law abiding American citizen did you lose with the Patriot Act? You can't name any because there are none. You need to get your priorities straight, The Constitution does call for the defense of this country, it does not say anything about taking one person's hard earned money to give to someone else who has no responsibility for themselves.

I am not supporting republicans, but I will tell you that it is not in your best interest to gamble on the internet, particularly the games which can be RIGGED and you never know it, like poker, blackjack, roulette, electronic dice, slots, etc. The ONLY thing I would ever consider would be real sports betting because the internet web site cannot rig it.But remember, getting them to PAY you could be a problem. Some of these sites are located in weird little countries where you have no recourse.

Stay away from the name calling. It undermines your thinly developed theory.
Why do all politicians lecture about individual freedoms and then pass laws that restrict those freedoms?
Taxation takes my money.
Social programs remove my responsibility, which is my freedom.
The list is long.
So please, this is not a political party thing. This is a power thing. So expand your horizons and realize a more developed sense of skepticism.

Gambling is not a good thing. It is all mafia controlled. When you gamble on line or in casinos you are supporting organized crime.
