Most gutter systems,(plastic or metal) have some directions to them.

For the most part the hardest part is getting the slope for drainage correct. If you have a run longer than 15 feet, try to divide it in half and slope to each side.

I found the easiest way is get a chalk line and snap a line for the bottom of the gutter to follow from the center or highest point to the down spout.

Follow you line and nail or strap the gutter in.

a simple answer is that there are hangers to attach to your house to rest or hand the gutters on. Its not good to just nail them on the roof edge, but I have seen some old timers do it that way.

First of all u need a ladder and the guts to go up there if it's high.They are esy to install but if you at all hesatent about heights better get a professional.
