Republicans will not admit total failure at any cost.

It's the way the GOP works.

Probably about the time Liberals admit taking the diplomatic route only works with reasonable participants.

As to whether or not there is civil war in Iraq, I'd say that no war is ever civil. But it may be it is time for the US and others to start pulling out. That would tell one thing for certain. Is it really a internal conflict or is the prime problem the US & Europeans in the country that is causing the problem.

It might not be a bad idea for the elected Iraqi government to be put into a sink or swim situation.

all of the tragedies in Iraq interior the final a number of years could be traced to the american invasion and the previous American led sanctions. The civil conflict sprang from the situations created via the american invasion. GWB and his republican occasion are liable for what we can referred to as "the Iraqi tragedy of the twenty first century".

Contrary to incorrect views, there is NOT civil war in Iraq... yet.

Right now there is a high level of sectarian violence that *could* lead to civil war, but hasn't yet escalated to that level. Yes, it could easily go there, but let's skip the partisan crap you seek to spew, and let's look at the facts.

-The national government is still intact and is still seeking peace.
-The Iraqi Army is still intact and is backing the government.
-The Shiite Imams are calling for peace, not violence.
-The majority of Iraqis are not for civil war.

Yes, there is a problem, but these 4 facts show that there is still a long, long way to go before this becomes a civil war.

Let's not obscure and distort the truth and the facts with our partisan political biased desires.

Not until there's a Liberal in office. Hell, then they'd be criticizing him about putting them in an unjust war.
