Dude, I have been a die-hard DEVOTEE of Depeche Mode ever since a friend of mine played me the Strangelove Remix. And that was more than 15 years ago. I have been collecting their music for about the same period of time. Their music and messages are works of art. All of the albums have a story to tell and like reading a book, you need to read all the chapters to fully understand the book. That is why I love all the songs on all the albums. They are like chapters in a book...they are written for the soul purpose for relationships to make sense at the end when the real story has been told. Stories of old....
I saw them in back- to- back concerts in Cape Town, South Africa. That means I went on the Friday and the Saturday.
Like you I also collect their remix albums and have over 60 albums that are either remixed, bootlegged or singles. I also have the vinyl copies from most of their early works. Then I also have the original albums and loads of them as well. I have three copies of DM 101! One made in Holland, one made in the UK and one from the USA. There are lots of others like that as well. I have five copies of the Strangelove single. All different.
Got lots of memorabilia as well. Posters, T-shirts and pictures. I also have the wallpaper on my computer. Speaking of wallpaper, I have one poster the size of bus!
I love all of their music, but Strangelove has a special place in my heart.
Cheers buddy and keep "spreading the news around the world, taking the word to boys and girls".

Not an actual fan but I grew up at the same time as them in Basildon and used to hang out at the same places and even saw them rehearsing many times, before they hit the big time. Spoke to them a few times way back then but never really became friends with the guy's. I was friends with Alison Moyet however but have not spoke to her for over 25 years! Life is a funny thing!

Love the mode. Just to set the record straight...they have millions and millions of fans world wide who are passionate about them but also many casual fans , sadly enough however following in their home country England is limited...i wish i could tell you why...perhaps its got something to do with the fact that people in England tend to be bland and boring and have zero imagination ? Dunno really just wondering out load.

I can't stand them, to me it's just a monotous dirge.
But my girlfriend likes them, so I agreed to go to their concert at Wembley Arena last year, and it was just full of DM freaks!!!! People in fancy dress all talking about where they had travelled in the world just to see DM.
Because of these weirdos I enjoyed myself, but I wouldn't go again.
