It does have a soothing effect on the soul I believe. It is very mellow music that can bring your emotions to the forefront, instead of keeping them bottled inside just awaiting for an eruption.

i feel like sad songs put u in a position to think n match wats ur problem n wat is d song about. if it gets similiar in any manner u feel ur expressing ur trouble in a melodious manner direct from ur soul. thats y one feels very good wen listenin to sad songs.
