I have never really took a great deal of notice of this but my girlfriend pointed out that they move around in my scrotum all of their own accord. Quite weird when you watch them! She is fascinated by it! Why do they do this?

Testicles usually hang low in the scrotum because sperm survive better at a lower temperature to the rest of the body and this helps to keep them cool. If you are becoming aroused or your body thinks there's any chance of a shag, your scrotum will contract a little to pull your testicles closer to your body and warm up the sperm a little in preparation for the warmer environment of the vagina. There's also some movement closer and further away from your body to allow for changes in external temperature. Your scrotum contracting and loosening very slightly to adjust the temperature can make your balls look like they're rolling and moving around. So - it's all temperature control for optimum sperm health - vvvvery clever.

Testicles Moving

Actually your testicles just hang there inside yoru scrotum; it is your scrotum that keeps shifting. In order to keep testicle temperature a little lower than body temperature and thus maximize sperm production your scrotum is designed to raise and lower your testicles as required. Thus do not wear tight underwear unless you want to defeat the reason your scrotum is there and thus lower your sperm count. Oh, and some day when you have a bit of free time, lie down naked and watch your scrotum do it's magic; you'll see for yourself what is happening.

Okay, regarding the rising of the testicles during or nearing ejeaculation, yes it is PERFECTLY normal. In the Masters and Johnson four stage sexual response cycle, it is a natural occurence during sexual stimulation. For the second question, consult a physician. Get a physical.

To regulate temperature, and to avoid stress/danger. The testicles move back up into the body when the outside temperature drops to protect the sperm production. Similarly, they extend when your body is too hot.

First, be happy that your girlfriend has an interest.
The testicles move to maintain the optimum temperature for semen.
Too hot, they move down, too cold, they move up to maintain the warmth.
This is the way that they maintain the best chance of maternity.
Using a condom?

They'll withdraw into your body when they are too cool. And slacken off a bit when they get warmer.

they move because of the change in temperature. they need to stay at The right temperature to produce sperm, if its cold they will move up towards your body to get warm, and if its hot they will drop down to cool down.

HAHAhah WHAT kind question is this?! ofcourse it moves, when the climate around your scrotum changes, it moves. Not neccesarily move though, its more like your sac shrinking and expanding. But if this is not the case, you probably have STDs or testicle cancer of some sort.
