I want to be able to accept cheques in Euros at a craft party I am holding, but my business bank charges £10.00 per cheque.
I don't have a credit card machine as most of my trade comes through my website and pay through paypal.
Any ideas???

most banks in uk should take cheques in euros as they are legal tender in uk as well as £sterling and should cash without charge if they are why not see if you can put them into personal account (get made out in your name) I have cashed euro cheques in my bank of scotland account all it takes is few extra days as they have to be changed from euros to £s but i never got charged but for tax reasons why not put this all through as cash sales in your "book"

1) Can you not ask the people that pay by cheque to pay by Paypal?
2) Try another bank!
3) Open an account in a european bank, France, Belgium??

Open a Euro bank account and or get a credit card machine; its not as expensive as taking payment through paypal and you may be able to automate it through your website.

Could you open a Euro bank account? Either with a bank in the UK or perhaps one in France or something.
Or could you get people who want to pay in Euros to pay via paypal?

Any financial enterprise can concern a miles off places cheque yet you may could have an account with them. you would be charged for the cheque - verify with your financial enterprise to be certain what their fee is and you may could wait some days for the cheque to be issued. i would not propose sending money or visitors cheques.
