The only thing that seems to get me in the right mindset these days are the kind words of a friend. I get bummed out pretty easily by things that don't matter too much in the end.

I do not seem to have developed this proper mindset as of yet. I always seem to rely on a hope and whim that the day will be good. I can't seem to wake early enough to exercise in any way, and coffee gets me going a bit, but not to the point where I am certain my day will be good.

First and foremost, coffee...must have coffee. Then, after I get the kids off to school and hubby off to work, I either go for a walk around the property or if it's raining like it is today I jump on the treadmill. For those thirty minutes I try to focus my mind and get my day in order. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't lol. But at the very least, I get some exercise under my belt.

The perfect thing for me would be to get up, do some yoga, have a half cup of really good coffee, pray and tell God thank you for at least 3 things you are thankful for, and then get to work or school or whatever on time. But, that's what does it for me. A lot of people feel good if they do some form of aerobic activity in the am. It get your heart pumping and endorphins flowing which increases serotonin release in your brain, which in turn makes you happier.

Crank up some heavy tunes as well as catching up with news radio. A good breakfast, and time to myself for a 1/2 hour and I'm set.

(i liked your other avatar/pic better, not to say this one isn't nice)
1- turn off the alarm clock and give it a hateful glare
2- make coffee
3- drink the coffee, wash face, put on jogging attire
4- beat yesterday's jogging record, either be faster or go further
5- feed the animals, water the plants
6- shower & get ready for the day to begin
if i manage all of these things my day is good

I log onto DAoC and kill a few Albs or Mids... causing someone a little misery always gets me ready for a night dealing with nutcases.

Nope. I walk my dog and plan my day as I walk. This is very calming. Once I am organized than I have no anxiety and the day goes as smoothly as it can.

Nope, after a while you get autopilot and it doesn't matter what you think or your mindset...I just get on with it!
