there was structural damage to homes on the big island, closest to where the quake hit (kailua kona hospital, some palace)
there was power outages for about half the day
no one died and very little people were injured
a landslide was caused
ive heard that boulders fell onto a road

Lots of structural damage, land slide, rocks no tsunami and the power is out= they have it set up where when seismic activity is detected the power shuts off- and it will take a while for it to get back on- also there was no loss of life reported- d

Fortunately, no one was killed. Structural damage can be repaired. Did you see the picture of the coffee shack that blew over?
