Hi, I'm Dutch and I went through all the books on name equivalents.

Definitely not Steven, as that name means The Crowned.

I'm not sure if Sjoerd is the equivalent of Stuart, because the meaning of the name Sjoerd is: keeper of the triumph. It's different. And Sjoerd is originally a Frysian name (not Dutch).

Also, Stuart was originally a surname that later became is use as a first name too. So I guess it's a unique name based on Scottish history.

Stewart - keeper of the estate - Teutonic?
Stewart, Stuart - A Steward - Anglo Saxon

I can only find it as a English name. Never heard a Dutch name that sounded like Stuart. But is the site mentioned below there are Dutch who are called Stuart. (I never met one)

Stuart (Steward) is a Scottish surname that came in use as a first (given) name.
There is no equivalent in other languages.
The Dutch name Steven is probably closest in sound.

I believe it is "Sjoerd". Well, I am not 100% sure. I had a tour guide when I was in the Netherlands and his name was Sjoerd and he said it's like "Stuart" in the U.S. I just assumed he was Dutch.
