The amount of money in your bank account does not determine your child's education. If you are broke, your kid will be (most likely) in public school, which may or may not suck. You could, possibly only have $9.99 in the bank, because you just shelled out $6000 for a private education, which also may or may not suck.
Or you could be like me, have money in the bank, and teach your kids at home, yourself.

Its certainly possible.
While I certainly complain about public schools, I also believe that your involvement in your kids live, expectations on them, and encouragement to strive to excellence are more important then whether they go to a public or private school.
When it comes time for college/university, there are loan programs, bursaries etc. Encourage your children to take advantage of these things. Many kids from lower income areas don't go to college because they think the money is so daunting. If you raise your children to believe that education is important, and that it is worth taking on the debt, there's no reason they can't be successful.

Shouldn't this be under Finance and not Trying to Conceive?
And why is there so little in the bank? Where is all the money going to?
