In physics, spacetime is a mathematical model that combines three-dimensional space and one-dimensional time into a single construct called the space-time continuum, in which time plays the role of the 4th dimension.
You cant go back in time because that would mean going faster than the speed of light which is not possibale, but you could slow it down.

Time is the movement of every part of the universe towards chaos or "heat death," otherwise called entropy or "time's arrow." While "cause and effect" can be a part of the analysis, the decay of atoms has no "cause," other than mere existence and time.
There is a sense in which the perception of time is purely a creation of human memory: if we did not recall the previous moment, or configuration, or structure, the changes would not be noted by anyone or thing, there would only be what is "now."
We cannot go back in time because there is no "there" there to go back to. Think of it: in order to go "back" in time, you would have to undo the entire universe's decay over whatever period of time you are considering. It's not just "you" moving back in time. If it were, you would find that the Earth, the solar system, the galaxy and the rest of the universe had moved on, and you would expire in vacuum, another sun or planet or whatever was in the spot where "you" were going back to. You can't go back in time without going back in space and entropy.

Think of a clock face. Big hand on the 12, little on 1 (1 o'clock) it's one o'clock cause the light bouncing of the clocks hands is going into your eye and you see it. If you keep staring at it time will change of course. Now stare at the clock and run backwards at the speed of light, the light off the clock to your eyes is the same one that says one o'clock, IT DOESN'T CHANGE. Time has stopped. If you could faster than the speed of light you can probly catch the light to your eye where it said it was12 o'clock, before. Problem is the faster you go the heavier you get you get to a point where you are too heavy to even move that fast. There are many more examples to explain but they will get long.

We can't go back in time because we live in a cause and effect world, it is always moving forward..Tme is a dimension in which things occur in sequence.
