Hopefully your are on antibiotics. You should feel better after 48 hours of antibiotics. It can take up to a week (7 days) to feel yourself again. If you are not feeling better by the 2nd day of antibiotics, contact your doctor. Some bacteria are resistant to certain antibiotics and your doctor may have to change your medicaiton. Feel Better.

Depends on the seriousness of the infeciton. With the right antibiotics then usually a few days for something minor. If worse... expect a few weeks really...

A few days with the right antibiotic. Drink plenty of liquids while you have it and stay on the drugs until they are gone (not just the symptoms).

What I thought was an enlarged prostate with inability to pee may be a UTI or a virus in my prostate. 4 days on amoxycilin & the flow has improved but not 100% yet, but am hopeful.
