:o Limescale remover should work fine= it won't melt it- remove what you can w a tooth brush- using a metal brush would scratch the finish badly- D

Put some limescale remover and water (1 part limescale remover; 3 parts water) into a suitable receptacle (ashtray, saucer), place the shower head in the solution for an hour, rinse, and reattach to the shower.

No scrubbing or pins required.

all three answers are correct. you need an acid to clear the limescale. Vinegar (acetic acid) and soda water (weak carbonic acid) will both do the job. A dedicated limescale remover, such as jif (isnt it called cif, nowadays?) will probably pack the most punch in the shortest space of time, but vinegar will be cheaper - just leave it to soak longer.

White Vinegar will remove limescale.

Cilit Bang is good for shower screens so give that a try too.

unscrew it and soak in a bowl of bleach of water with bleach in it. about 1/4 cup bleach to 2 quarts water, let it soak for about 30 minutes and rinse well, scrub spray holes with tooth brush and rinse well inside and out, if this does not cut all the residue and build up, saok in a bowl with CLR in it, that should do the trick. Good Luck.
