No. why on earth would you think of yourself as a bad person simply for enjoying a sport. So long as you handle guns responsibly, and store them safely, you have no reason to apologize to anyone.

Far from being a bad person! I loved hunting, shooting, and even reloaded my own ammo. I remember feeling so proud, when my father let my sit down in the workshop, and reload my own ammo for the first time! I remember my father cracking us up with his stories, around the campfire and at the hunting lodge, and the comraderie of friends, as we met during hunting season. Some of my fondest memories as a child and young man, involve shooting and or hunting. My father was a great shot, he even taught the local law enforcement agencies shooting skills for a time, and I can remember like it was yesterday, that I came home from the Army on vacation, and beat my father at 3D moving target pistol shooting.
My father is retired now, and still does gunsmithing as a hobby (which really has him far busier than when he was working!). Guns are a great activity, and an important part or our American history. After my 8yrs in the Army (82d Airborne), combat, then the stresses of my ex-monster (err, i mean wife!), I guess I let it slip away from me... because I find now that I haven't touched a gun in several years; and all of them are tucked away safely at Dad's place, in a walk-in gun safe. Although my father never enjoyed, or wanted to shoot animals; He taught me how to hunt. I enjoyed hunting very much, when I was younger. I never wasted my prey; (eat what you take), and I still feel that the hunt is the greatest part of the sport, not the kill... as in life; it's the journey, not the destination... because we'll all end up in the same place (in the ground).

Over in the states you will not be considered a bad person, here in the UK you might well be. I don't think you are a bad person for liking to fire guns and enjoying it as a sport.
However, the issue on fighting for the right for all to carry firearms is a different story. In Europe 2.17 people in every 100 000 are killed in firearm related deaths in USA this is 14.24. By allowing everyoen to have firearms evidence suggests that more deaths will occur.

Hell no! Why would you think that? I've been a Proud NRA member for many years. This may, in fact, make you into a better person. Happy shooting!

I am a lifetime member of the NRA myself. I shoot and own quite a few weapons. I also do not hunt yet I support those who do.
Do not let anyone tell you that you are a bad person for using your Second Amendment rights. Do not let anyone control your mind.
That little statistic that was throw out about children being shot is false. In this little statistic they include teenage gang members who shoot each other (they will not follow any law) and even police who shoot young gang members in self defense. They always use "children" when they want to strip you of a right.
The UK also tolerates a much higher violent crime rate thanks to their anti gun policies. I realize this is counter too what you have been told your whole life but it is true.

No. I live in rural America and many of my friends have guns and hunt. We have too many deer and people hunt deer to put food on their table. I feel that if guns were illegalized, the bad guys would find a way to get a gun for his use. Those laws would hurt the good people more that the crooks. My opinion.

As long as your shooting is done under controlled environment and not done violently I don't think u r a bad person. However It's not clear when u said u only target animals, if u don't shoot then then how do u know u've met ur target.

I understand you completely. I'd like to play around a bit with nuclear energy, make my own bomb and backyard reactor. I could do it. Why, I'm as smart as the next person. The problem with bleeding-heart liberals is they don't believe that every man women and child in this good Christian land has the God given right to make their own nuclear weapons collections and have their own nuclear reactors in their backyards. As a collector, I have no problem with a fine gentleman as yourself owning a bunch of firearms, because I would hope you'd have no problem with me collecting medical nuclear material, material that is safely kept locked up, of course. What I'm really excited about lately is being able to buy my own electron microscope for only about $70,000 . . .which almost anyone could scrape together if he really wanted to . . . and seeing how many biological nightmares I can cook up that match with what the CDC has on file. It's sorta like . . .like . . .collecting baseball cards. You keep your guns, Bubba. It's about to become a real medieval Bubba world. Join the "National Own A Nuclear Bomb Association."

If you have a licence for the gun and you shoot responsibly, then there is no reason for u to be tagged a bad person... my way of seeing a person is in his way of thinking, his personality, his honesty... the fact that u hav asked this question proves that u r not a bad person... bcoz a bad person would never have asked this! So cheer & listen only to ur heart!

NO you aren't a bad person. I am a member of the NRA, I do not want to lose the right to my firearms.
People are going to throw statistics at you about guns and kids, murders, yadda yadda yadda, remember folks.... With proper education and firearm locks guns can be "SAFE", and for murders.... if they didn't use a gun they would find another weapon of choice.
