Hi Thanks for ur replies!

Although Dell are giving a 19inch monitor, its just that I wasn't sure what processor is the best, as I thought the P4 runs at 3.2 GHZ hence FASTER?

Also the dell is costing £450 whereas the other is £399.99 I just want a basic machine as already have a powerful one.

Out of these 2 which you have mentioned "AMD® Athlon™ 64 Processor 3200+" is better. But there is more latest offering from Intel "Core 2 Duo" which outperforms AMD 939/AM/2 chips.

The Athlon is faster in this case, as is the case most of the time in this price range. Plus you get a bigger hard drive, so its a very easy choice, go with the Athlon.

Intel

Dell sucks and crashes constantly.

Try to get XP pro, its way better and safer.
