I suppose you mean in a relationship. Well, it depends on the man, obviously. But I suppose respect is one thing. Someone who cares for him (I don't mean clingy). Someone to comfort, too. To feel important in the eyes of his beloved. Sex, of course.
Hey!!! That's what a lot of women want, too! Both women and men should stop reading magazines or watch TV programs or listent o their friends who tell them what men and women should act like. You know, the stereotypical: Men like boobs and sex; men don't like to get affection; women should marry older men - with money; etc.

OK... l'm not a sheila but... l'm a man and I think that qualifies me to answer this question!
All we need are the basic elements of life....
1) Warm Meals
2) Sex
3) Transport (faster the better)
4) Alcohol..... (only on weekends)
5) "Time outs" in the nagging sessions
6) Sports Channel... (ok... more like a bonus)
Thats not to much to ask for is it?

Men want a woman to take care of the household for him, to pay all of the bills, to give them sex whenever he so desires. Produce children for him so that his name lives on. Come and go as he pleases. A woman to listen , but to say nothing in return. To agree with everything he says. etc.... besides a woman to do all that for him, could be alot of things, money, happiness, love. etc..
