Knowing how to apply your intelligence is not always an easy task. Plus there are people who may think that they wish to have high paying executive or professional jobs, but really are afraid or really do not want that with their hearts. If you are happy, stay where you are, God put you there for a reason.
If you are not happy, make a plan, then get busy and get it done! The sky is the limit.
Best of luck to you!

I drive a taxicab, and I have an IQ of 148, and this time of year, I'm always broke.....slow season. Bubba, you're in good company! I know a couple of PhDs that drive cab, and I have yet to meet a profoundly STUPID cab driver. Believe it or not, the job requires intellect to perform it efficiently. It's not that we are underachievers, it's due to the fact that we are of a personality type that does not allow us to conform, and as such, we seek out a position that allows us to be the individuals we are meant to be and still earn a living. And in my book, maintaining self respect
goes way beyond a fat paycheck or material possessions.
And don't fret.....Fantasy Fest is just two weeks away!

A high I.Q is great but what's your level of education and are you trained to do anything? You probably have the intelligence to be a brain surgeon but unless you go to medical school, you'll be driving that taxi for a long time. Intelligence and motivation are two different things. You're only lacking one and I'd seek profession help to find out why (yes, there are free mental health clinics) and you do have transportation.

149 IQ and you can't figure it out?
You spend too much and don't drive enough.
You have an expensive girlfriend.
You eat out too much rather than cook at home.
You quit chasing your dream in favor of "making a living",
(which isn't necessarily a bad thing), you lose your money playing Internet poker instead of using all those brains to figure out how to win.
You bet on slow horses.
You got a degree in philosophy instead of computer science,
You used your baseball cards to make motor sounds on your bicycle instead of saving them until they were worth fortunes.
Nobody even gave your novel a look even though everyone who ;proofread it for you loved it.
Am I close?
Solution--Get a cheaper place, drive more hours, finish the novel and market it yourself, get a girlfriend with a job, and hey,
you still wake up every day with a good head on your shoulders.
Enjoy!

You have not applied yourself and are not motivated to be more for some reason.
If you want to do more, you can.
Bill Gates' IQ is 148. George Bush is not as intelligent as you are.
If you're happy being a taxi driver, it's OK. I you're not, do something.

High intelligence is no guarantee of a high paying job. You need a degree, people skills, drive, ambition, and most importantly, opportunities. Your IQ has to be off the charts to get a job based solely on that. Sad but true. Trust me, I am smarter than most of the people I work for.

Yah, IQ is what to who? If rich was smart GW Bush would be a genius and not a rich dumb ***. Some of the dumbest people are rich. One more thing - Dorothy Parker said "If you want to know what God thinks of money, look at the people he gave it to".

It's quite hard to say, but IQ is not everything. My IQ of about 120-125 does not mean I do well in everything either.

IQ is only one piece of the puzzle.
Ambition, motivation and social skills all factor into a person's ability to achieve his or her potential.
Self-improvement, regardless of the level of career success we've attained, is always a good idea.
Best of luck!

Oh, most probably you simply took your life for granted. It's your laziness that keep you from moving forward.
It's not yet too late. You must find time to improve yourself. Have a nice day!
