What are the potential advantages and disadvantages of human cloning
The kinds of treatments developed by cloning could lead to breakthroughs in the treatment of human infertility, this is obviously a good thing. On the flipside, however, initial experiments will, very probably, lead to a number of failures. This could mean a large number of miscarriages, abortions and the birth of deformed children who may undergo painful deaths.
The ethical debate
Quite apart from the medical issues we outlined above, there are a number of specific and complex ethical debates surrounding cloning. The cornerstone of our lives is dependent on a number of ethical, social and legal (not to mention religious) parameters. Many of these are circumvented by bypassing traditional conception. What happens to parental responsibility? What happens to the concept of individuality if cloning enters the picture? In many senses we do not even have the vocabulary to deal with the implications. No matter what the conclusions (if in fact there are any) the ethical issues surrounding cloning will be a prominent feature of the 21st century, and may fundamentally change how we view ourselves. Perhaps this is the most difficult thing to comprehend and accept of all?
What is The Human Genome Project?
You’ve probably read about it, but wondered “Why is the human genome project happening?” Perhaps one of the most high-profile projects in this space, The Human Genome Project aimed to answer some of the larger questions surrounding human DNA. The 13-year project, coordinated by the U.S. Department of Energy and the National Institutes of Health, aimed to identify all the genes in human DNA (approximately 20,000 – 25,000) and store the information in a user-friendly way.
So what are the implications of The Human Genome Project? And what will the findings be used for? Read our Human Genome Project for more facts and information.

Depends, I mean if they cloned people and they still maintained the same personal qualities as their host, then we're talkin immortality...*cough* aeon flux *cough*. But it seems a little like playing God a bit, don't know whether it IS good or bad. Cause then you have issues like, somebodies son dies, or something, so clone him to have him back....which i suppose is a good thing, OR then you got issues where they wanna clone people for their organs, which means your creating life to use as a damn..involuntary body donor....and that's pretty sick. There's a lot of issues, personally if they had a choice to use it, i'd disagree with it, it touches too much on fate, and the life cycle, personally I wouldn't wanna be immortal, nor would i like to think there's others like me, or that somebody's double is being cut apart for the sake of someone else.....unwillingly.

Cloning itself is an unwanted problem creating factor.
Advantage : It may be a positive one if "Ten Gandhijis" are produced.
Dis-advantage: It would certainly be a destructive one if "Ten Ghotsays" are created.
Cloning Human beings is a Curse.
