What do you have now? Gas or electric?
Replace with whatever you have now. Gas for gas, electric for electric. Installers will charge more if they have to run new lines for the cooker.
I'm not sure, but it would also involve the gas/electric company since I think they're the ones who have to actually run the lines. And the gas company would have to be called to turn it off or on, which ever the case maybe.
The electric cooker/stove will require 220 amp outlet and an electrician will have to come in and do the work.
It'd be cheaper to buy a gas for gas or electric for electric.

I prefer Gas..I think its easier and quicker to control..turning down a boiling sauce pan..etc...but I think electric ovens are cleaner than Gas...its very much down to own preferences..both suppliers now charge highly for the power so nothing between them there either
