dating is overrated. its an excuse to get used to a guy spending money on you, when in reality, if you were to end up together, its never going to be like that. when you are dating, you never show anyone the real you...whether male or female.

the best couple ( and by that i mean, honest and true to themselves and each other) are those which were really good friends before they even thought about getting it on with each other. a connection initially established on physical attraction, i don't think is as likely to succeed as a relationship based initially on things in common (shared interests etc...) and a want for the other person's company.

If one or both parties is really more interested in the physical to begin with, then whats the point in dating.

its an excuse for dressing up and going out somewhere nice etc. now there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. believe me i have done it and still do. its good fun. But from personal experience. i am never going to find my soul mate over a candle lit dinner. you save those for when you are married, happy, with kids or whatever!
