i have been having horrible home sickness since i left the rest of my family in colorado and came to kuwait to work and spend time with my mom she's been here for over a year and i felt my life was incomplete without her and now i'm here and i miss the rest of my family, so no matter what i'm not going to be completly happy and it sucks bad. but i love my mom and it makes me happy to be with her and i can go see the rest of my family soon i hope

It is a painful affliction, but I believe Blue is right, heartache is much more painful. You can get over homesickness to a degree, but losing a loved one, finding your lover doesn't love you anymore are just too hard to get over.
I will say it is very overlooked though,a nd very difficult to get over.

Yes, the only time you think of it is when you are away from the people you love. I have five children and a beautiful wife......haven't seen them in five months this tme over here.
