To most of us it's an EWE. However, the Aussies may call them sweetheart, darling, wife, or any other endearing name. When it comes to the Welsh, they seem to be more abrupt: so a straight forward "hey you (ewe)", seems to suffice to get the sheep's' back legs into the wellies.
