Solve an argument with my hubbie....and who did they sing with?

noooooooooooo!!!!! they are NOT the same person! they were both members of the sex pistols... johnny rotten (aka John Lydon) started out as the lead singer of the sex pistols... then along came Simon John Ritchie-Beverly (Sid Vicious to the world) who was a close friend of John's and was asked to join the band in 1977 after the departure of Glen Matlock. Sid joined and became the band's bassist... and most infamous member! He was charged with the murder of his girlfriend nancy, whilst he was under the influence of heroine... although there are theories he didn't do it and he always pleaded not guilty! he was released from police custody in 1979, having won his case but died from a heroine overdose at the party that was thrown to celebrate said release... speculation exists as to whether or not it was suicide as he could not bear to be without nancy! A poem exists that sid wrote to nancy, which was found the day his body was.
Johnny was considered to be the 'voice of punk' whilst Sid was said to be 'the look'!

No, Sid Vicious & Jonny Rotten (John Lydon) are different people, they were both with The Sex Pistols. Sid is now dead though.
See the link, in the photo, Sid is second from left & Johnny is second from right.

Sid Vicious and Johnny Rotten were in the Sex Pistols.
Sid Vicious murdered his girlfriend Nancy then killed himself [dont quote me on that last bit tho]. Johnny Rotten was on 'I'm a Celebrity, Get me out of here a couple of years ago. They are not the same person!

No, They both played with The Sex Pistols, Sid on bass and Johnny singing. Johnny Rotten's real name is actually John Lydon and he later sang with Public Image Limited (PIL) in fact he still records under this guise. Sid unfortunately passed away due to a drugs overdose.

John Simon Ritchie was better known as Sid Vicious - bass player for the British band, the Sex Pistols.
John Joseph Lydon was known as Johnny Rotten (because he had rotten teeth!) - lead vocals with the Sex Pistols.
'Anarchy in the UK' was one of their best known hits

No, no, no, Sid Vicious is DEAD and Johnny Rotten still alive, albeit mad. They sang with the Sex Pistols in the 70s, made some darn good records too !

No, they were very different people. Sid Vicious played bass (or at least he acted like he was playing, story goes that he never actually could play) for the Sex Pistols while Johnny was the singer.

No they aren't. Sid has been dead for some time. Johnny Rotten shows up now and then or sends notes when he is suppose to appear.

no, johnny rotten is now known as jon lyden and sid vicious was a useless druggy bass player that killed his girlfriend nancy (allegedly)
They were both in the Sex Pistols. Jonny R was the vocalist
