The reason most fans go to pro wrestling matches is it's an escape from reality. If you really look you can see the "punches" miss the target, the canvas absorbs most of the "body slams, tombstones, and leg drops". The blood is real, it's amazing how you bleed with just a little self made nick to the eyebrow. People like soap operas, even though they're not real, ditto for pro wrestling.

By the way, I would'nt mess with the wrestlers, I know 99% of them could whip a** on the average guy. Being from Illinois, I know a lot of guys that used to pick on a guy that turned pro, now he gets their respect. Oh Yeah!

Yes, it's all in the show, but the fact of the matter is that some wrestlers work together better than others and make the "action" look more real... really they're stunt guys and acrobats, and the one's that make it, are the ones that can act a little to and have the skills to work the mic. It is a show, but it beats "Days of Lives"

Yeah, but you can't say being thrown off a steel cage through table doesn't hurt, though and the blood isn't always on purpose. And I hate the way the same people who watch soap operas diss wrestling because it's not real, when in fact, it's more real than "Passions" or "The Bold and The Beautiful".

In the time that the show is on I am a mark and I pretend it is real. Oh that canvas is not made out of cotton candy and just because it bounces doesnt mean it doesn't hurt. The canvas doesn't absorb anything, its mostly the wrestlers bodies absorbing that weight.

Oh geesh, next you're gonna tell us that Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy aren't real. Step into reality, dude. Wouldn't you want to go 30 seconds in the ring with a professional wrestler? They're "professional" for a reason. (and next the Easter Bunny?! omg...)

Considering how much money is made off this "fake" fighting, I'd say it's quite lucrative for wrestlers and the owners. I was into wrestling when I was a pre-teen until I seen WWE and noticed that no one was getting punched. I was thoroughly disappointed....lol.
For myself, I much prefer UFC. Blood, fighting and the bumps / bruises are 100% real and if I am to spend big bucks in seeing a fight, I want to see real punches, real kicks, real pain and real knockouts, not fake crap.

Oh shoot! Wrestling is not real?! Geez, what a rip-off! I've always been suspicious when the wrestlers screw-up, but now I know the truth! Ugh! The truth hurts!
