Daily newspapers carry news and editorials about the latest events, and are often focused on sensational criminal and political stories. It takes a sizable readership and advertising base to support a daily newspaper, so most are in larger cities.

Weekly newspapers are often in smaller towns or address smaller readerships. They often follow larger, less sensational stories, such as human interest and broad governmental issues. They also have sports roundups, particularly for local schools.

Shopper newspapers are simply vehicles to deliver advertising. To do this, they have some editorial content of interest to consumers, such as recipes, product reviews, buyers guides and store round ups. However, a shopper newspaper has no actual news in it. You will find nothing in it that will upset an advertiser.

Daily newspapers carry local and world news, distributed by whatever source9s) they use, such as Associated Press, or AP.
Weekly newspapers summarize the news of the week locally as well as what made headlines for the week, or the most popular stories. And Shopper newspapers print coupons and specials for local businesses in the area.
